Bannedstory help

Have any of you liked to check out and mess around with the Maplestory simulator Bannedstory?Well here is a fun guide to help make your Bannedstory videos look as amazing as possible!

So first of all your going to need some resources to make your videos look truly amazing.Go to Bannedstory.com its free and no download! No sign up! So why not?
Now this is when choice comes in place! There are other things you can you can use to make you videos truly amazing. From simple things like windows movie maker to things like sony vegas. Things like paint and paint.net to things like gimp. Its a wide range of editors and effects and its up to you to find them! There are also things called templates and they can be very usefull for picture making.

Some are harder to use than others and require a lot of practice to look perfect.The hands above are very easy for all you do erase the arms on a maple character laying down and stick them on. When the sitting one requires you to save each bit of clothing differently and put it on as layers in any editing picture thing. And it requires you to use the eyedropper tool a ton. Cute right? It took a little practice and its still not perfect. But nobody and nothing is perfect. Because if everyone and everything was perfect there wouldn't be any point of showing off to the world, would there?

Now we need to know a bit about mouth movements. Many facial expressions are edited and then used to make your character look as if its singing when making mmvs (maplestory music videos) learning them so they are good is something said to be hard because some people think you need sony vegas to do mouth movements, this of course is a lie. Here are a few videos to get you started. But i think the best resource to learning is trying it yourself.

If you haven't noticed i use not only my pictures, but other peoples pictures and vids. Because i am not here to exactly teach you i am here to show you. So i don't blame you if you are still confused, and if you are still confuse look at other resources to see if you understand then. Oh yea and here are my results :)

Now that we know about mouth movements,templates,and resources lets talk about mixed hairs. What are mixed hairs? Mixed hairs are when you take two or more hairs and put them together for example:

Usually mixed hairs are made inside Bannedstory. To make them inside Bannedstory you need to find the hairs you want (on different layers) and explode them by clicking layer than explode layer next to the top left corner. After you explode them you can re-size,pull apart,and put together any pieces of the hair. Remember your mixed hairs will look better if you find ones that turn out a similar color. Like some hairs blue is sort of teal and others are darkish. You would want all the hairs you are using to be darkish or kinda teal. And is normal for back hairs to be darker than front hairs.

Now we need to talk about custom poses. Custom poses are like templates only you make the template yourself. So go to Bannedstory and create your character. Then after you create your character go to layers and clone layer. now there should be two of you characters. Make as many as you like (from 2 to 200) now select one of them and find a pose you like and do this with the others too. Now save it to your computer and open up your picture editing program. (gimp,paint,ect.) And use your box tool to cut the pieces apart and stick them on eachother for example. Before

See how i used two different arms and different legs? When doing this you have to be careful though because any mistake might mean you have to start over. You also might have to redraw some little bits its not very hard! Maple characters are drawn with little boxes and believe it or not i drew some of the top half of the paints and most of the sleeves. Just take your time re-size your brush and use the eyedropper tool a lot and you will love the results!

Now you may or may not have not noticed that some pictures have a little smile that isn't a facial expression. Those are what i call "drawn forms" of custom faces. Now learning drawn forms are easy peasy lemon squishy and you will probably master them is a few minutes to a hour. Make you character and then save it. Now it should have "Blink" expression on it. Now draw a smile to draw a smile draw one or two squares to the right than one diagonal. After you master this you may be able to do different drawn forms on different facial expressions by eyedropping the skin of the face and covering up the mouth and redrawing a mouth.
